Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis.
Under the direction of the Operations/Warehouse Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
Duties and Responsibilitieso Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments.
o Orderly stacking of product.
o Picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of quality and productivity.
o Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all product is properly counted.
o Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and errors.
o Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
o Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
o Maintain product locator system, and maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
o Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.
o Rotate product as appropriate.
o Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
o Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
o Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
o Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA an MSDS standards.
o Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
o Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories.
o Adhere to Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Program polices and procedures.
o Manpower analytical skills - daily and weekly staff planning and scheduling to make sure that each task has adequate resources.
o Conflict resolutions - responsible for resolving customer shipping and receiving issues.
o Analyze reports to ensure profitability of customer account.
JOB REQUIREMENTSo Minimum:
High School or Technical degree.
o Desirable:
College degree in Business Discipline or equivalent experience in business field.
o Must have three (3) years experience in a warehouse environment, one (1) in a supervisory role.
o Experience in a union environment strongly recommended.
o Experience with retail distribution a plus.
o Experience with personal computers and materials handling equipment.
o Proficiency in planning, staffing, and budgeting.
o Develop effective relationships and provide leadership.
o Successful communication - written and verbal.
o Establish priorities and multi-task.
o Possess professional business demeanor.
o Personal computers and materials handling equipment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
