The Supervisor is responsible for assisting the F&B Director with the overall dining program and execution of all aspects of the culinary experience for the community.
This includes daily operation of the restaurant and bar, training new employees, to catering and special events.
This is a position for an individual who routinely exercises good judgment and exceptional problem-solving skills and strong leaderships skills.
As the face of the dining experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment is critical while maintaining standards.
Your
Responsibilities:
Ensuring that the restaurant is set for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils.
Protect establishment and Residents by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate successfully to the residents and team.
Keep current with industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Ensuring basic cleaning tasks are completed by the employees.
Fill in for absent staff as needed.
Assist with special events as needed.
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
Exercise a positive attitude and remain professional under all circumstances.
Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.
Additional Duties &
Responsibilities:
Maintains a high level of Resident contact throughout service hours.
Builds strong, effective teams through ongoing supervision, training, coaching, counseling and leadership.
Ensure proper response and handling of all community emergencies through training with staff, residents, buildings, etc.
within company guidelines to minimize liabilities.
Ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
Comply with all ordinances and regulations per the location's jurisdictions.
Ability to manage operations in absence of the F&B Director.
Ensure the utmost proper hygiene by monitoring staff for clean and proper uniforms, personal grooming and food handling.
Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules.
Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Servers, Bartenders, Host/Hostess Education &
Experience:
High school Diploma or equivalent.
ServSafe Certified.
Previous supervising experience required.
Excellent oral communication skills required.
Positive interpersonal skills required.
Ability to train and educate staff.
Knowledge, Skills, & Proficiencies:
Strong leadership skills, able to develop a team in front of house.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Current with culinary and dining trends and styles.
Basic knowledge of beer, wine, & spirits.
Communication skills (listening, verbal and written).
Organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Problem solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 30 - 50 lbs.
Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
Handle, finger, grasp and lift objects and packages.
Reach with hands and arms.
Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions Complete all required forms.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements.
Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner Travel:
