The Pathways Recent Graduates Program is a 1-year Excepted Appointment program structured to help prepare and promote individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying education institutions or programs for a possible career in the federal government.
This position is located in USDA Rural Development Area Office in Davenport, Florida. Must be a US Citizen or lawfully admitted to US as a permanent resident. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. All requirements must be met by closing date of this announcement. This is a developmental position designed to prepare the Student Trainee for a career as a Loan Specialist (General) providing a variety of activities related to Rural Development's loan and grant programs.

Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology.

A Recent Graduate is an individual who obtained a qualifying bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution, within the previous 2 years.

Meet the qualification standards for the position to which the Recent Graduate will be converted;
Have at least 1-year of continuous work experience;

Meet training requirements as specified in the USDA Pathways Programs Training Plan; and
Perform their job successfully and satisfactory.
Participants will serve a trial period for the duration of the excepted service appointment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
